Unwrapped

There is an image that kind of says a lot about how crazy life is for us right now. Picture if you will, the newspapers from the last few weekends piled up, still wrapped in plastic, contents unexplored. And the food magazines I adore, 4 of them, also still wrapped in their plastic. I am not sure when any of those recipes will get a trial.

Every time there is what could be a moment to read one of those newspapers or magazines, there always seems to be autism related stuff to read. There is always something to research on the net, a phone call to make, another appointment to arrange, forms to complete. Looking at those magazines and newspapers makes me feel a little sad. They make me wonder about the new kind of normal for our lives. I think I might cancel the newspaper subscription for a while, but those food magazines, they are not going anywhere. We do need to eat so I know their time will come. I just don’t know when.
