The one about the funding for primary school

Today we learned that we have been successful in securing funding to support the Batsman at primary school next year. This news is so new that it is still swimming around in my head. It takes a while to process the bits of the road that all feel like heavy bluestones. A jagged edge here, a smooth face there.

For now though, I feel relief.
I feel happy.
I feel excited.
I feel a little daunted perhaps, about the next part of the process which is working out with the school how best to use the funds.

I feel that feeling when you have been working on a huge assignment and have done so much, some of it steady, some frenzied. Everything has been researched, information has been gathered and its all been synthesized together. The assignment has been thought through and written and the "i's" and "t's" have been dotted and crossed. The assignment is handed in and then......comes the result. Success. And it's over.

Except it's not really over at all.
Yeah, that feeling.
