Meltdown
They happen less frequently now.
The meltdowns.
But they still happen.
When he is anxious, or overwhelmed, or tired and the noise made by the Bowler is just way too much for his sensory system to contend with.
And it looks a bit like this.

It is so very hard to describe what a meltdown is like. It's different to a tantrum. Really different. It's like his internal core is melting down. His emotional self literally can't process what it needs to in order to maintain equilibrium.
The difference in the meltdowns now is that he has words to describe them. He is for the most part using words to describe his emotional state, not while the meltdown is in progress, but certainly after.
He uses words like disappointed and sad, upset and even frustrated.
And the best words he uses are the ones when the storm has passed.
"I'm all better now now Mumma".
We love you guys.

Such a beautiful boy. That he can vocalise what he feels, that's so good. :)
