Where I am

They are fleeting, these moments of sadness.

Felling torn, wishing I could be in two places at once.

The Batsman is working hard at a therapy team meeting on the other side of the city, me by his side, advocate, mummy, supplier of muesli bar sustenance.

The Bowler is with his beloved nonna, delighting in his first tram ride.

I am in the right place with the Batsman, I must be here. It just stings a little sometimes to miss out on firsts and fun.

And then comes this. Bless the mobile phone photo messages.

Made. My. Day.

The stinging subsides and I notice the sunshine.

  2. Oh. You are so lucky to have someone to do that with him. I often wonder now, how much of Boy 2's problems stem from missing out in the early years, as we had no-one.

    Beautiful.
