Since autism became a part of our lives I realise that what its presence has done is make me strive and think, harder and more deeply than I ever have before. Striving to be the mum you both need. Thinking deeply about how I can be the best mum I can be, for both of you.

Yes, Mother's Day is about thanking and honouring all the mums.
But without you two, I wouldn't be able to count myself among the maternal.

Grateful to be your mum.

Proud to be your mum.

Honoured to be your mum.

Energised by being your mum (well, most of the time).

Inspired by being your mum.

Love being your mum, with every tiny cell of my heart.

And one more thing. If what I could have on Mother's Day was a wish that could be granted, I wish for those I know who want to be mums more than anything to have what they long for.
