The singing bird and the spinning pinwheel

Both of my blogs have new designs. This lovely woman made it all happen. Here and over at Segovia, things look a little brighter and more beautiful.

When I gave Sass the brief on what I wanted for the design of my blog, I told her that I wanted there to be a real connection with who the Batsman is. His favourite colour, orange, is incorporated in the design. His connection with music and singing The I Love You Song is symbolized by the gorgeous bird. And most of all, his love of all things that spin is there too in the form of a gorgeous pinwheel. Sometimes it feels as if our home is full of toys and stuff that spins....tops, wheels, pinwheels...you name it we have it. The Batsman doesn't spend his whole play time spinning things but it is certainly a way that he can relax and tune out of the demands of the world around him.

One day I hope he might be able to read this blog and understand a little of his own early journey with autism. Sass, you have done a beautiful job to make this place say a little about him. Thank you Sass. You are indeed a shiny gem, inside and out.
